Welcome to the Palmetto Penthouse Suite, an upscale, top-floor condo designed for couples or business travelers who want a stylish stay in downtown Charleston, SC. You’ll have private access to your own 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom suite, plus a private balcony that’s perfect for morning coffee or unwinding after a day in the city. Inside, you’ll find a full kitchen for easy meals at home, an in-unit washer and dryer, high-speed WiFi for remote work, central HVAC for year-round comfort, and a TV with streaming services. Traveling with a little one? Pack n plays are available upon request. Parking is included in our adjacent off-street lot across the street, making exploring Charleston simple whether you’re here for work, a weekend getaway, or a longer stay.
To protect the experience for everyone, quiet hours begin at 10:00pm. This suite is not a fit for parties or loud gatherings. No pets.

You’re in the heart of Elliotborough/Cannonborough, a mid-peninsula neighborhood that sits close to the Upper King corridor and is packed with locally loved restaurants, coffee spots, and boutiques; perfect for exploring on foot.
For an easy walk to standout bites, guests love heading to neighborhood favorites like Xiao Bao Biscuit (Rutledge Ave), Leon’s Oyster Shop (King St), and Southbound (Cannon St) plus other nearby Cannonborough/Elliotborough staples. If you need recommendations, let us know and we’ll be happy to provide you some of our favorite choices.

You can build your perfect Charleston itinerary of meals, shopping, coffee, and sightseeing largely on foot. Then come back to your quiet top-floor retreat at the end of the night.
We are only 3 blocks from Upper King Street, so most guests prefer to walk and explore the city. The beach is 15 – 20 minutes away by car. There is also a free shuttle offered by the city that runs along King Street (3 blocks away) to popular stops. Bike rentals are available nearby or you might enjoy trying a pedicab taxi.
We offer free parking on site or in the lot we manage across the street.
There are no shared surfaces or spaces. We are a family owned and operated business and care very much for our guests experience. We are available to help as needed.
Must be 21 years of age to book a reservation In order to make a reservation by utilizing instant-booking settings and permission, the guest must have at least one 5-star posted review. Registered sex offenders or those convicted of a sex crime are not allowable. Casual enjoyment of the porches and surrounds are encouraged as this activity is complimentary to the surrounds and our brand, the Charlestonian. Therefore to be clear, no parties or partying. No noise and/or music after 9PM. Any noise and/or music prior to to 9PM must not be readily discernible to neighbors or guests so as to maintain livability in the house and the neighborhood. Porches are for the relaxation, conversation, and quiet enjoyment of all guests; therefore, please refrain from any loud noise or loud conversation Professional photography for guests is discouraged as this has proven to be disruptive to other guests’ enjoyment of the property and always commands exclusive use of the welcoming porches though which all enter the building. Onsite photographers must be approved by staff in writing, in advance. Hair stylists and professional third-party salon services are to be performed at a salon rather than at this gorgeous, immaculately taken care of historic house. No smoking anywhere on the property. This includes on the porches and in front of the house and on the grounds. No high-heels – they ruin the pine floors. No loudness – there are others nearby. Refrain from wearing shoes inside the apartment after 11 PM. Please do not flush anything besides toilet paper down the toilets. Leaning against or standing upon the porch handrails is both unwise and strictly not allowable. Re-arranging of furniture, interior or exterior, is not allowable. Coolers are not permitted inside the apartment or on the porches. Coasters are to be used when any beverage is placed upon the wooden furniture. Slate coasters abound throughout. The Nest HVAC thermostats must be kept within 69 to 76 degrees at all times. Adjustment to your comfort level is advised within this reasonable range in temperature. Inclement Weather Policy: Your reservation is our commitment to you and your commitment to us as a family-owned property. Please understand that we cannot be responsible for inclement weather or other causes for delays and cancellations at your point of origin or the locations you may connect through when traveling to visit us. We strongly advise you to purchase travel insurance to cover the cost of your stay in case of emergencies, unexpected interruptions, if you may be traveling during periods of inclement weather, or if you have other reasons to suspect you might need to cancel your reservation. Your reservation will only be cancelled in the event of a government-issued mandatory evacuation order whereupon your will receive a credit lasting one year towards a future stay. In the absence of a mandatory evacuation order, there will be no refunds or credits for the reservation. We thank you for your understanding!
